The Libertarian Party of Independent Democrats
Program
State
More money into education
By reason of higher gambling, alcohol and cigarette tax rates we will able to invest more money into education. Thus teachers' salaries can be increased.
Unification of VAT at 15%
We will unify VAT at 15% to prevent an unnecessary complexity and bureaucracy. Thanks to the transparent state economy, we will know where the money can be used effectively.
Promotion of a healthy lifestyle with contribution of insurance companies
We will integrate educational programmes about prevention of diseases (for example AIDS) into schools and we will support curative stays for children as the part of a school program. We also want campaigns that broaden people's awareness of free preventive examinations, for example a large intestine preventive examination. All of them will be financed by insurance companies from their special funds (funds on financing preventive programmes).
Support of local products, agricultural raw material, high-quality food and ecological agriculture
We want a large scale of high-quality products, both domestic and imported, for citizens of the Czech Republic. Therefore, we support local and farm products and so the local employment, too.
Support of direct democracy, especially referendums
We consider referendums as an inseparable part of expressing people's opinions. In no way we want to build the state on referendums, but we will strongly support local referendums.
Possibility of above–standard services in a health care
We let at people's discretion whether to decide for above–standard services in a health care or not. We don't see any reason, why freemen couldn't decide according to their discretion.
Respect of mining limits
We will not allow breaking the mining limits in any way.
Nature conservation
We will pay attention to better observance of emission limits and we will punish possible criminal wrongdoings by high penalties. We will also stop freeholders' waste incineration by donations on ecological boilers. A violation of emission limits will be punished by high penalties. We will use collected money on grants of internet projects created for purpose of informing people about recycling, alternatively on science or research. Finally, we will go for planting of mixed forests, which are more resistant to pests. They are also more natural to our landscape. We want to use more alternative sources of energy.
Support and membership in international organizations EU and NATO
It's important for the Czech Republic to stay in a mutual cooperation with international organizations. We know that membership in the EU brings both positive and negative aspects, but the membership enables our state to participate in global politics and that is indisputably an advantage. This is the only way to retain a national sovereignty and respect. We want to stay in NATO and the EU.
Preservation of a direct presidential election
In any case, we will preserve a direct presidential election as the decision of citizens and their direct participating in a state management.
Accepting of Euro is on you
The Libertarian Party of Independent Democrats wants to preserve the Czech crown for as long as possible. If there is any decision making, we will declare the referendum.
Transparent state contracts
We do not consider state contracts (for example building new roads) as the subject of a trade secret. That is the reason why we want to publish them. This is one of the ways how decrease corruption.
Education
Marking scheme
We do not want students to be overstressed by marks or even marks to be used as a means of punishment. We consider marks to be a feedback for students and their parents. They should not be preferred to gaining knowledge. For us more important is what students take away from school rather than what marks they achieved.
We are going to support foreign language kindergartens
If children already interact with foreign languages in the kindergarten, the further education of foreign languages will be easier and more natural for them. That is why we are going to support foreign language kindergartens.
Support of six/eight year grammar schools, language schools and vocational schools
Every student must have the chance to focus on what they would like to do in their lives or which subjects they consider as prospective ones. Therefore we do not want to limit grammar schools, language schools and vocational schools in any way.
Extension to the programme of foreign exchange
We would like to make it easier for students to take part in foreign exchanges. To finance this programme, we will try to get funding from the EU. For example the university programme, Erasmus, which we would like to introduce into high/secondary schools, too.
Abolition of the intermediary maturity exam
We will keep the exam in the fourth class of the eight-year grammar school programme as a transition exam into the higher level of the grammar school. However, we will abolish the other exam in the sixth class of the eight-year programme and the second class of the four-year programme of the grammar school in GKČD.
Original film versions
The ability of speaking in foreign languages, particularly in English, is considered as an obvious one these days. Therefore we will financially support TV stations that limit dubbing and broadcast films in the original version, because we consider watching films in foreign languages with subtitles as one of the best ways to learn foreign languages.
We will keep the current state of the graduation exam
We will keep optional exam subjects and therefore we will not change the current state of the state graduation exam and its obligatory subjects (Czech language and Literature + foreign language or Mathematics). We would like to carry out a general rating of the state graduation exam, improve all deficiencies and introduce a fixed system without permanent changes.
No tuition fees in public universities
We support the chance of education for every citizen at university as well. That is why we will avoid introducing tuition fees in public universities.
We will focus on school canteens
Eating a healthy diet, which is important for our whole life, should be natural for us from childhood. School canteens are not popular these days and the number of children that tend to consume fast food meals is increasing rapidly. We will pursue quality food in school canteens with frequent inspections on the type and variety of the consumer basket. We would also like children to get involved into creating a menu and taking inspiration from foreign schools.
Salary increase for teachers and more money into education
By reason of higher gambling, alcohol and cigarette taxes we will able to invest more money into education. Then teachers' salaries can be increased.
We are against school uniforms
We will not introduce required school uniforms in any way.
Higher quality of physical education
For healthy life it is essential not only to eat a healthy diet, but also to exercise. Therefore we consider introducing sport and leisure activities as an important part of PE lessons. We would like schools to introduce for example yoga, right breathing techniques, body building, stretching, swimming or dancing into lessons. Schools should also cooperate with sport associations.
This is not a real political party. The opinion of this political party is not opinion of its members or school.
